Our five parishes sit on an area of high ground to the East of the old market town of Baldock in north Hertfordshire. Best characterised as “rural”, the area is historic – all five parishes are mentioned in the Domesday Book – and are attractive but relatively unknown to people who race by on the A1.
Each village has its own church and each church remains at the heart of the community providing a focus for village events and support and care for parishioners in need. There is a strong tradition in all the villages of supporting each other’s parish events, festivals and fetes.
